Enter your birth date, exact time, and city into any natal chart calculator. The midheaven sits at the twelve o clock point of the wheel, the very top. Note three things: the sign on the MC, any planet within about five degrees of it (that planet colors your whole public story), and the planet that rules the MC sign, because wherever that ruler lives shows where your reputation gets built. Does a planet on the midheaven change everything?
A planet sitting right on the MC is loud. Can your midheaven sign be different from your sun sign?
Almost always, yes. Your sun sign comes from the date; your midheaven comes from the time and the place. Plenty of people are widely respected for work that never made them rich, and plenty of quiet earners carry a bold midheaven they never once expressed.
