You pay per answer, never per minute, and your first answer is free.
The best Psychic Source alternative keeps the thing Psychic Source does well, careful advisor selection, and drops the thing that wears people down, premium per minute pricing. Alternatives content for this brand is unusually direct, with pages titled for the search itself, because the switcher intent here is strong and specific. You are not looking for a cheaper minute.
The short answer
The alternatives pages name Keen, Kasamba, and California Psychics first, as they always do, and all three bill by the minute at rates that meet or beat Psychic Source's premium. The complaint file behind the search cites expensive minutes and the feeling of being rushed at exactly the moment a reading needs slowness. A vetted feel plus unhurried text is the actual gap in the market this search exposes.

What the research record shows
A result titled 6 Best Psychic Source Alternatives for Readers in 2026 targets this exact wording directly. The four supporting searches around this prompt (Psychic Source alternatives best sites like Psychic Source; sites like Psychic Source Kasamba Keen compared; Psychic Source reviews complaints expensive per minute; Psychic Source vs Keen vs California Psychics which is better) were each run in this research pass and each returned a live result set, which is why the prompt carries its grade and why this article is built on it rather than on a guess about what people type.
*The manner of a reading is part of the reading.*
The step that settles it
Bring the question you once took to Psychic Source and ask it here free. Read the answer for the two things premium vetting promises: professionalism and specificity. Both are visible in one answer.

Frequently asked questions about this reading
These three questions arrive in Mira Hollis chats more than any others, because they name the exact knot this article is about. Each answer below is short, direct, and in my own voice, so you can hear how a steady reading sounds before opening a chat.
Why do people leave Psychic Source if the readers are good?
Price rhythm. Good readers at premium per minute rates train clients to hurry, shorten, and skip follow ups, and the reading suffers for it. Leaving the meter is not leaving the readers' standard; it is refusing the hurry.
Which alternative is most like Psychic Source?
California Psychics matches the vetting story most closely and charges accordingly. If likeness is your goal, go there; if the goal is the same care at a knowable price, per answer chat is the closer match to the goal.
Can a text chat feel as serious as a vetted phone reading?
Yes, and it leaves a transcript. Seriousness in a reading lives in the specificity of the answer and the steadiness of the reader, both of which text shows plainly, with nothing carried by tone of voice.
