Solar return chart calculator

Your solar return chart: the exact moment the Sun comes back to where it was when you were born, and what that chart says about your year.

What a solar return is

A solar return chart is cast for the exact moment each year when the Sun comes back to the precise degree it held at your birth. That moment falls on or within a day of your birthday, and the chart is usually drawn for the place where you spend that birthday, though some astrologers prefer the birthplace. Astrologers use it as a snapshot of themes for the year ahead, running from one birthday to the next. They look at the rising sign of the solar return, the house where the Sun lands, the Moon's position and any planets on the angles. A Sun in the tenth house, for example, may point to career focus, while a Sun in the fourth could highlight home and family. The chart is read alongside your natal chart, not instead of it. Many people enjoy reviewing their solar return around their birthday as a way to set intentions.
