When exactly
Thursday, January 7, 2027 at 20:23 UTC is the precise timestamp, in UTC, with the moon standing at 17°18′ Capricorn. Exactness matters less than people expect - the tradition gives lunar moments a generous day on either side.
What this moment is for
New moons are for starting quietly. With the moon invisible beside the sun, the tradition reads this as the month's most inward moment: set the intention, take the first small step, and let it stay private for a while.
The Capricorn flavour
This one lands in Capricorn, so the themes are Capricorn's themes. Capricorn brings the summit plan: ambition that includes you, reliability that never announces itself, and a dry wit that improves with security clearance. Expect the days around it to reward exactly that register - and to make its shadow side harder to ignore.
Keeping it practical
Decide what the next month is for, in writing, in ink. Start smaller than pride prefers. Protect the seedling stage: quiet, water, no audiences.
