Moon phase on August 28, 2000
The Moon moved from Leo into Virgo that day (UTC), so the time of day decides which.
Born under a new moon moon
The new moon comes when the Moon sits between Earth and Sun, so its lit side faces away from us and the sky looks dark. Traditionally it is the time to begin, but softly: to rest, imagine and name what you hope to grow. People born under a new moon are often described as instinctive starters who lead with fresh energy and may not always see where they are heading at first. If you are living through this phase, it can suit quiet planning, a clean slate and saying yes to something new.
Write three intentions on a slip of paper, each beginning with the words I am ready to. Fold the paper, keep it somewhere special and read it again when the moon is full.
The Moon in Leo
A Leo Moon brings warmth, playfulness and a wish to be noticed. The collective mood often feels more generous and expressive, and people respond well to praise and creative flair. These days suit performances, parties, dates, art projects and time with children. Pride can be touchy, so sincere appreciation goes a long way. It is a fine moment to wear something bright, share your work and celebrate someone else's wins as well as your own.
