Questions about paying

What counts as an answer?

Each reply your reader sends you is one answer. Your own messages are free to send, the automatic hello is free, and the chat shows your balance as you go, so you always know where you stand.

Is there a timer running?

No. Nothing here is billed by the minute. Take as long as you like to type, think, make a cup of tea or step away. Your reader can take the time to write a proper answer, and it costs you the same.

How much does an answer cost?

The price of each pack is shown in the chat before you buy. Bigger packs cost less per answer, and you only ever pay for answers you have actually received.

Is the first answer really free?

Your first answer is free. New customers get it without entering a card. You only buy a pack if you want to keep going.

What happens to answers I do not use?

They stay on your balance. Your balance belongs to the email address and PIN you start the chat with, so it is there when you come back, with any reader.

What if an answer is not helpful?

Tell us within 72 hours on the Answer Promise page and we return the credits for up to 3 answers from that reading to your balance, once we have read the conversation. Read the Answer Promise.

Do I have to give card details to start?

No. Starting a chat asks only for an email address and a PIN you make up. A card is needed only if you choose to buy a pack, on a normal secure payment page.
