Best Online Psychic Chat in 2026: Compared and Priced Per Answer and Per Minute

Which psychic chat does not charge per minute?

Of the five services compared here, SpiritClick is the one that does not charge per minute. It charges per answer: each reply from the reader uses one answer from your balance, and nothing is charged by time. Keen, Kasamba, California Psychics and Psychic Source all bill per minute, at rates that vary by reader.

Keen, Kasamba and Psychic Source let each advisor set a per-minute rate. California Psychics prices by the psychic's tier, from $5 to $23 a minute, and Psychic Source deducts each reading from a prepaid balance.

Which psychic chat is cheapest overall?

No service is cheapest in every case: it depends on how long you chat and the number of questions you ask. After SpiritClick's free first answer, a per-minute intro offer such as Keen's 5 minutes for $1 can cost less for a short chat. Over longer chats, the reader's per-minute rate decides the cost.

Here is the arithmetic from each service's own published prices. At SpiritClick, the first answer is free. The standard pack is 8 answers for $35 ($4.38 an answer), 15 answers cost $60 ($4.00 an answer), 3 answers cost $15 ($5.00 an answer) and a single answer costs $7. You pay per answer, never per minute, and your first answer is free.

Keen gives new customers 5 minutes for a $1 deposit, once per customer. After that, the rates we saw ran from $1.99 to $15.55 a minute, so ten minutes at those rates comes to $19.90 to $155.50, and higher-priced advisors may exist.

Kasamba offers 3 free minutes on your first reading, and the advisor rates we saw ran from $1.99 to $26.99 a minute. California Psychics lets new customers start from $25, for up to 20 minutes in total, then charges $5 to $23 a minute. Psychic Source offers new customers rates as low as $1 a minute.

A per-minute chat charges for the length of the live session. SpiritClick charges for each reply and nothing by time.

Can I get a first psychic answer free?

Yes, at SpiritClick the first answer is free for new customers. The per-minute services offer intro minutes instead: Kasamba gives 3 free minutes on your first reading, Keen gives 5 minutes for $1, California Psychics adds 15 free minutes to a 5-minute purchase, and Psychic Source offers rates as low as $1 a minute.

Each intro offer has conditions, so read them on the service's own site. Keen asks for payment information and a $1.00 deposit, and Kasamba asks for a card before the free minutes start. All four offers are for new customers.

At SpiritClick, you open a reader's chat in your browser and type your question, and the reader's first typed reply is free for new customers. If you want more, answer packs are bought inside the chat.

Cheapest psychic chat per answer

SpiritClick is the only service in this comparison that prices by the answer, so it is the only one with a per-answer price to compare. After the free first answer, the standard pack is 8 answers for $35, which is $4.38 an answer. The 15-answer pack for $60 brings it to $4.00 an answer, and a single answer on its own is $7.

The packs are: 8 answers for $35, the standard pack, which is $4.38 an answer; 15 answers for $60, which is $4.00 an answer; 3 answers for $15, which is $5.00 an answer; and a single answer for $7. You pay per answer, never per minute, and your first answer is free.

An answer is one reply from the reader. A reply split over several messages within two minutes counts once, and unused answers stay on your balance.

Psychic chat with no per-minute billing

If you want psychic chat with no per-minute billing, SpiritClick is the option among the five compared here. Each reply from a reader uses one answer, and nothing is charged by time. The trade-offs are text chat only, no phone readings, and a smaller reader pool than the large per-minute services.

On per-minute services, the cost follows the clock. Kasamba's terms say any partial minute is rounded up to a full minute, and California Psychics ends a reading when your funds run out, unless Auto Reload is on.

With per-answer billing, the time you spend reading a reply or typing a follow-up is not charged; each reply from the reader uses one answer. The trade-off is pace: written chat takes longer to read than a phone call.

Best psychic chat for love and relationship questions

For love and relationship questions, the right service depends on whether you want to talk or type. Keen's Love and Relationships category page showed 18 advisor cards on October 29, 2026, offering chat and, for most, phone. At SpiritClick, Seraphine Vale reads on love and relationships, breakups and moving on, and twin flames and soulmates, by text chat only.

At SpiritClick, Celeste also reads on twin flames and soulmates. On Keen's love page, the highest rate we saw was $15.55 a minute. If you would rather speak than type, a phone reading on a per-minute service fits better, because SpiritClick is text chat only.

Psychic chat vs phone readings: which costs less?

It depends on the service. Psychic Source shows the same per-minute rate for phone, chat and video on each advisor's profile, so neither costs less there. Kasamba prices chat and voice separately, and its voice rates can be well above the chat price. SpiritClick has no phone readings; its text chat is priced per answer.

In the advisor data on Kasamba's own pages, one advisor was listed at $2.99 a minute for chat and $39.99 a minute for a voice call. Keen says the rate you see does not include international long distance charges.

Under the FTC's 900 Number Rule, an ad for a pay per call service billed by time must state the cost per minute and any minimum charge (Federal Trade Commission, 2013). Check both before any timed reading.

Written chat takes longer to read than a phone call, so if speed matters most to you, a phone reading may suit you better.

Which service is best for what?

Each service fits a different need, and none is best for everyone. SpiritClick appears in this list only once, for no per-minute billing. The lines below come from each service's own published offers and channels as read on October 29, 2026, not from paid test readings.

Best for a low-cost first phone call: Keen, with 5 minutes for $1 for new customers, by phone or chat.

Best for free first minutes: Kasamba, with 3 free minutes on your first reading and up to $50 in credits to try another advisor if you are not satisfied.

Best for a longer first reading: California Psychics, where a new customer's 5-minute purchase gets 15 minutes free, by phone, chat or text.

Best for video readings: Psychic Source, which offers phone, chat and video, and holds an advisor's regular rate if you return to that advisor within 30 days.

Best for no per-minute billing: SpiritClick. Billing is per answer, the first answer is free, and it is text chat only.

How we compared

We read each service's prices, intro offers and channels on its own website on October 29, 2026. SpiritClick has not run paid test readings with the other services, so this page compares published prices and terms, not reading quality. Per-minute rates can change, so check the live price before you start.

SpiritClick publishes this page and is one of the services compared.

We did not sign up with, pay or contact the other services. Their pages showed only some advisors, so higher rates than those listed here may exist.

SpiritClick's drawbacks: it has no phone readings, only text chat; its reader pool is smaller than Keen's; and written chat takes longer to read than a phone call.
