What does a free first answer mean at SpiritClick?

It means one reply from a reader, free, for new customers. You open a reader's chat in your browser, type your question, and the reader replies by typed message. That reply is your free answer. You do not need to enter a card to start, and nothing is charged by time.

An answer is counted per reply, not per message. If a reader splits one reply over several messages within two minutes, it counts once. A detailed reply uses the same single answer as a short one, and there is no clock running while the reader types.

SpiritClick readings are text chat only, with no phone calls. If you would rather talk out loud, a service with phone readings is the better fit. Written chat also takes longer to read than a phone call.

What happens after the free answer?

After your free answer, you buy answers in the chat if you want to keep going. One answer is $7, 3 answers are $15, 8 answers are $35 and 15 answers are $60. You pay per answer, never per minute, and your first answer is free.

Bigger packs lower the cost of each answer. The pack of 3 works out to $5.00 an answer, and the pack of 15 works out to $4.00 an answer. If you buy more than you use, the unused answers stay on your balance for your next question.

Nothing is charged by time, so a long pause costs nothing extra. The trade off is choice: SpiritClick has a smaller reader pool than the large per-minute services, so there are fewer readers to pick from.

Other services use new-customer intro offers on per-minute billing: a few minutes free or discounted, then the reader's regular per-minute rate. Keen, Kasamba, California Psychics and Psychic Source all work this way, based on what each service's own site said on October 29, 2026. Each asks for payment details or a purchase first.

Keen: new customers get 5 minutes for $1. Its terms say you must first enter valid payment information and deposit $1.00, and the offer is valid once per customer. After that you pay each advisor's own per-minute rate. Advisor cards on the pages checked ranged from $1.99 to $15.55 per minute. Keen offers phone and chat.

Kasamba: its banner offers 3 free minutes on your first reading, and Kasamba says a credit card or payment method is required before you start. Advisors set their own rates, shown from $1.99 to $26.99 per minute on the pages checked, with chat and voice priced separately. Its terms say a partial minute is rounded up to a full minute.

California Psychics: for new customers, a 5 minute purchase comes with 15 minutes free, 20 minutes in total, starting from $25. Its pricing page lists psychics from $5 to $23 per minute. You prepay funds or a package, and a reading ends when the funds run out unless Auto Reload is on. Readings are by phone, chat and text.

Psychic Source: new customers can talk to most of its psychics for as low as $1 per minute on their first purchase. You add funds to a prepaid balance first, from $15.00 to $5,000.00 at a time. Its pricing page says rates start at $0.99 per minute, and the highest rate shown on the pages checked was $12.99 per minute. It offers phone, chat and video.

What should you watch for before using a free offer?

Ask what the whole reading will cost before you start. Find out whether a card is needed, how many minutes or answers the offer covers, what rate applies after it ends, and whether partial minutes round up. With per-minute billing, the total depends on how long the reading runs.

The rate after an intro offer is the number to look at. On a per-minute service, a reading that runs past the free or discounted minutes is billed at that reader's regular rate, and rates on the pages checked ran into double figures per minute. Keen also notes that the rate you see does not include international long distance charges.

There is a reason to ask for numbers up front. The Federal Trade Commission's guidance on its 900 Number Rule says that if a pay per call service is billed by time, the ad must state the cost per minute and any minimum charge. That rule was written for pay per call lines, but the same two figures are worth knowing before any timed reading.
